Accessibility Statement

Government technology must work for everyone. This site and these tools are built with that principle from the ground up.

Standard

This website targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance and Section 508 compliance. These are the standards required for federal government websites, and I hold my own site to the same bar I hold the tools I build for agencies.

What I've done

  • 01Keyboard navigation — every interactive element is reachable and operable via keyboard. Focus indicators are visible and high-contrast.
  • 02Screen reader support — semantic HTML, ARIA labels, landmark regions, and skip-to-content link. Form errors announced via live regions.
  • 03Color contrast — all text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text).
  • 04Motion sensitivity — animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query. No auto-playing content.
  • 05Responsive design — content is usable from 320px to any width. No horizontal scrolling. Text scales with user zoom preferences.
  • 06Print stylesheet — clean PDF export for offline briefings. Navigation and decorative elements removed automatically.

Known limitations

No site is perfect. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please let me know. I take these reports seriously and will fix issues promptly.

Tools accessibility

The tools I build for government agencies follow the same accessibility standards. Air-gapped and on-premise deployments include accessible interfaces by default — not as an add-on, not as a premium tier. Accessibility is baseline.
